I'm committed and honored to create a safe and comfortable space and value the sacredness of the therapeutic relationship so you can begin healing and create a life filled with joy and meaning.

I am a Registered Licensed Social Worker and a Louisiana State University graduate with a Master’s degree in Social Work. I have worked and interned at various non-profit agencies focusing on complex trauma, sexual trauma and disordered eating. I maintain a caseload at Highland Healing Center, as this allows me to continue to dive deeper into trauma and attachment work which often encompasses eating disorders, self-harm, sexual trauma, relationship and attachment issues in adult females.

Client Focus: Women (18+)
Types of therapy: EMDR, EFT (tapping), Attachment Therapy, IFS/Ego State Therapy, Somatic Experiencing
Symptoms: Disordered eating, relationship issues, attachment disruptions, complex trauma history, sexual trauma

The charge for an initial 80 minute session is $240 and then $150 for subsequent 50 minute sessions.

I am an out-of-network provider for most insurance companies. This means we can provide you with a receipt (superbill) and you can send this to your insurance company for possible partial reimbursement.

Get to Know Debbie

Hi, I'm Debbie Breaux
Founder of Highland Healing Center

My own diverse background has shaped my values, my path, how I see the world, and how I practice therapy. In addition, my personal and family experiences with loss, death, divorce, substance abuse, grief, and coming out in midlife have shaped who I am today. My personal path has taught me that healing requires more than talk therapy alone, and I am deeply grateful to many gifted therapists, mentors, and coaches who have lovingly and skillfully been my guides over the past 30 years.

I know at my core that healing – through healing modalities, therapy and connection – is possible. I’ve created Highland Healing Center as a sacred place where every detail has been curated with deep intention. Nuances matter to me – like the variegated lemon trees at our entrance, the lavender and lemon essential oils, the soothing music, an abundance of live plants, and an immaculately clean space – all so you can feel safe, at ease, and welcome.

My work is deeply meaningful to me and I am committed to providing you with the best therapy experience possible. Everyone on the Highland Healing Center team has been specifically chosen because of their deep commitment to helping you rediscover your essential self through the life changing work of therapy. We want you to believe that healing is possible. I look forward to connecting with you and I’m so glad you are here.
